Baby check up

I had another check up today.

My blood pressure has been a little elevated at my last couple appointments, not enough to need medication, bed rest, or anything like that, but I do have to check my blood pressure on a daily basis now. If it goes over a certain number, I have to call the office. It's a good thing I have a husband with a blood pressure cuff and knows how to use it!

Here are my other stats.

Measuring 35 cm.
Kinley's heartbeat was 144bpm.
I've gained a total of 30 lbs,

I am 34 weeks, 6 days pregnant.

Cooper the Ring Bearer

This last Saturday Jeff's cousin Stefoni got married. She asked Cooper to be the ring bearer. He has been so excited for so long! At last the BIG day had arrived. I think the only people more excited than Cooper were Stefoni and Andrew.

Dancing. Cooper told me later that someone promised him a candy bar if he danced with Ashlin.

I don't know why this picture is so big....that's ok though, it shows Cooper's expression, which I love.

Cooper's allergies

This past week, Cooper had an appointment with his allergy and asthma doctor. The main reason for the appointment was to get paperwork filled out so Cooper could go to school in the fall. With Cooper's severe allergy to peanuts, the doctor had to fill out orders for the school nurse in case Cooper is exposed to nuts at school. While we were there though, they decided it was time to find out if Cooper is allergic to other nuts, because we've never actually tested him for anything other than peanuts. The reason for that was because with how severe Cooper allergy is to peanuts, it is just best to have him avoid all nuts because of the high risk of cross contamination. After discussing the other meds Cooper is on for his asthma, and how often the kid needs nebulizer treatments, they decided to test Cooper for allergies to seasonal things to see if any of that stuff could be triggering his random asthma attacks. Also, we've known he was as allergic to dogs and cats, just by process of elimination, but we've never known just how allergic he was, so they tested him for those things too.

Here is a list of things they tested Cooper for and the size (in millimeters) of flare up he had:

Dust mite (farinate)- 7x5
Dust mite (pteronyssinus)- 7x5
Cat pelt- 5x5
Cat hair- 9x5
Dog dander- 10x10
Horse dander- 2x2
Gerbil- 0
Guinea pig- 0
Hamster- 0
Mouse- 0
Rabbit- 0
Feathers (birds)- 3x3
Cockroach- 0
Alternaria tenuis (mold)- 3x3
Hormodendrum (mold)- 10x10
Aspergillus fumigatus- 0
Tree mix- 5x4
Grass mix- 2x2
Weed mix- 0
Cashew-0
Peanut- 14x10
Walnut- 0

Basically, this means Cooper is still severely allergic to peanuts, not a shock there, but that he is not allergic to other tree nuts. Coops doctor gave me some good tips for how we could introduce him to other nuts safely, but he also suggested that he stay away from all nuts when not at home.

As for the animals, Cooper is most allergic to dogs, followed closely by cats. He is mildly allergic to birds and horses. Cooper's doctor advised me to keep him away from all of these animals as much as possible. I was very surprised to see that he was not allergic to any of the other animals though.

As for seasonal things, he's allergic to dust mites, mold, trees, and grass.

Poor Cooper....

Mason is 7!

I can't believe this little man made me a mom for the first time 7 years ago. He is such a joy to have in our family. He loves to do things for others. I can tell that is how he shows his love for others. Mason is such a great big brother and I can see why Heavenly Father sent him to our family first.

Mason's 7th Birthday

We had Mason's birthday party on Friday night. He invited a few friends over to swim and have cake and ice cream. This was by far the most laid back, easy to plan party I've ever done, it was great.

Even Shiloh had a great time.

More Random fun

Now that the weather has warmed up, we've been spending most days in here....
which means nothing else is getting done, but that's ok. We only get a limited amount of warm weather, so all my other projects just might have to wait until the snow is falling.

Shiloh's hair is finally getting long enough to do some funny things with it in the bath.

I came into the living room the other day to find Mason snuggled up with two of Shiloh's blankets. As soon as he saw the camera, he tried to uncover himself. He told me I better not show all my friends on Facebook, so that is exactly what I did, and I thought I'd share it here too.
