Thanks Spokane Chiefs

It seems that every time we turn around, someone in our community is giving out free tickets to some event to firefighters. (I guess it pays off having a really busy fire season). This time around it was the Spokane Chiefs. Jeff took the boys and they had a great time!

Jeff's gifts

I am so beyond jealous of all the presents Jeff gets from our kids. Last year for Christmas he got a certificate for one million head scratches from Mason (no kidding, one million). Each week in nursery (at church) Kinley colors a picture and says they are "for daddy" without fail. Every. Stinkin. Week. Now this, this beyond cute picture Shiloh drew him of Elsa and Anna. PS: Can you tell I am super jealous???

Silverwood

We love the summer reading program offered by Silverwood. If a school aged child reads 10 hours or more above and beyond their assigned reading time, they earn a free ticket to Silverwood. Mason and Cooper both took advantage of that this year. We went on a day (yesterday) when school for many local districts were already back in session, so there weren't any lines anywhere. Gotta love that!

Someone was not very thrilled that his parents were *making* him go on the roller coaster.

We played a joke on the captain at Jeff's fire station. He told Jeff not to go on the Tilt.A.Whirl (Tilt.A.Hurl). So we took these picture above and below and said "advice not taken".

Visit from my mom

My mom and her husband, Sat (pronounced Sought) were able to come visit for a week. We had a fun filled week with them. We went to Manito Park, Porcupine Bay, Blueberry picking, and had lots of family dinners.

Cooper's birthday is in a few days and Kinley's is at the end of the month. My mom got them their birthday pretest while she was here. She also got Shiloh something small so she wouldn't feel left out.

Camping

This last weekend (July 24, 25 & 26) we went camping at Outlet Bay on Priest Lake. We had a lot of fun being out in the great wide open, despite not being able to have a fire. We woke up to rain on Saturday. When it cleared we attempted to go up to the Roosevelt Grove of Ancient Cedars, but ran into rain that would have made Noah jealous and left us wishing we had an Ark to escape in. Saturday night brought some loud partying from the teenage girls and boys in the next campsite over, so when morning came we didn't feel bad about releasing our marching band of children and letting them run loose.
