First Day of School
Shiloh has a preschool open house on September 2nd to meet her teacher (Mrs. Sunnie) and see her classroom.
School started on September 8th for Mason and Cooper
Mason is in 5th grade this year and has Mrs. Layton for his teacher.
Cooper is in third grade and has Mrs. Nendel for his teacher.
Two cute girls needed in on the picture taking action as well.
Shiloh's first day of preschool was on September 9th.
I took this picture just before leaving the room. The look on her face was like, really mom! Get outa here so I can be with my friends, I don't need you anymore.

Jeff's gifts
I am so beyond jealous of all the presents Jeff
gets from our kids. Last year for Christmas he got a certificate for
one million head scratches from Mason (no kidding, one million). Each
week in nursery (at church) Kinley colors a picture and says they are
"for daddy" without fail. Every. Stinkin. Week. Now this, this beyond
cute picture Shiloh drew him of Elsa and Anna. PS: Can you tell I am
super jealous???

Silverwood
We love the summer reading program offered by Silverwood. If a school aged child reads 10 hours or more above and beyond their assigned reading time, they earn a free ticket to Silverwood. Mason and Cooper both took advantage of that this year. We went on a day (yesterday) when school for many local districts were already back in session, so there weren't any lines anywhere. Gotta love that!
Someone was not very thrilled that his parents were *making* him go on the roller coaster.
We played a joke on the captain at Jeff's fire station. He told Jeff not to go on the Tilt.A.Whirl (Tilt.A.Hurl). So we took these picture above and below and said "advice not taken".

FIRE
We had very little snow fall this past winter and higher than normal temps this summer. Now it seems our entire state is burning down right now. There are a lot of firefighters on the line fighting it and we pray for their safety and for their families to have an extra measure of strength as their loved ones are risking their lives to save others homes. Many districts have been depleted, Jeff's district is not exception. Jeff has spent some time on a few local fires as well as some time on one of the bigger ones in our state. He has also gone on more calls within the district than usual.
The air quality here stinks, so we have spent the majority of our days indoors. Here are some pictures of Jeff on the couple of fires he was on as well as pictures of how bad our air quality is.

Cooper and Kinley's birthday celebration
Cooper got his own set of scriptures for his birthday. The mail carrier thought it would be a great idea to put them in our mail box instead of the bigger mail slot that is meant for packages. The problem with this is that the actual slot is bigger than the opening. We got smart though and grabbed a butter knife to hold down the top flaps. Finally came out. Gotta love smart people.
Immediately
following Cooper's baptism, our family came back to our house for cake
and ice cream for Cooper (8) and Kinley's (3) birthdays. We didn't do a
friend party for Cooper this year (fail). We had enough to do between
Mason's birthday July 15th, Cooper's birthday August 12th, Cooper's
baptism August 22nd, and Kinley's birthday August 23rd.
