Visit from my mom

My mom and her husband, Sat (pronounced Sought) were able to come visit for a week. We had a fun filled week with them. We went to Manito Park, Porcupine Bay, Blueberry picking, and had lots of family dinners.

Cooper's birthday is in a few days and Kinley's is at the end of the month. My mom got them their birthday pretest while she was here. She also got Shiloh something small so she wouldn't feel left out.

Camping

This last weekend (July 24, 25 & 26) we went camping at Outlet Bay on Priest Lake. We had a lot of fun being out in the great wide open, despite not being able to have a fire. We woke up to rain on Saturday. When it cleared we attempted to go up to the Roosevelt Grove of Ancient Cedars, but ran into rain that would have made Noah jealous and left us wishing we had an Ark to escape in. Saturday night brought some loud partying from the teenage girls and boys in the next campsite over, so when morning came we didn't feel bad about releasing our marching band of children and letting them run loose.

Mason's 10 birthday

Mason was able to have some friends over the celebrate his birthday yesterday. (His birthday was the 15th) They had pizza, cake and ice cream, opened presents, and watched the movie, Agent Fox.

Mason made the decorations for his cake. Not too shabby for a 10 year old.

Say what? Double digets?

This cute baby made me a mom 10 years ago today. For his birthday, instead of asking to do something fun, he asked if he could help our friends down the block pack their moving truck (he helped for 6 hours), then went back after dinner and mowed their front yard. His kind gesture and willingness to serve others made me tear up. He sure is growing into a fine young man.

As a perk for all his hard work, our friends are in the military. He had a ton of old gear that he didn't need any more. So, he told Mason that he could go through it and take whatever he wanted as long as his mom was okay with it. Of course, Mason said I was fine with it (did he ask me? nope). He came home with lots of cool stuff that I have no idea where to store. *sigh* Life of a boy, I guess.

Saying good-bye to diapers!

We went out to celebrate with this little one tonight. Yay for Kinley being potty trained! Mason will be 10 on Wednesday, so after 10 years of diapers we are saying so long to one more phase of parenthood.

Day Camp

Day camp this year was fun. It was great to go and see Mason and Cooper there together. This was Mason's last year attending and Cooper's first year. I am horrible at taking pictures, so this is all you get. Picture taking is something Jeff always remembers to do, I wish I was more like him in that area.
